Perry was born in Oakland in 1971. As far as we know, he’s half-Chamorro, half-Japanese.  He went on to write hit after hit for the label, in addition to training some of the artists (notably GDYB, Lexy and Teddy).

He’s also the producer for all the albums released by YG Entertainment and can be heard on many of them, either singing, rapping, or doing back vocals. He released a solo album in 2001, but decided not to appear on stage anymore around 2003 – probably so he could focus on all the producing/songwriting he does for YG, but there might be other reasons.
